causes of the telegram
Here are the causes of the telegraph
In the 1800’s communications could take a couple of weeks to get from one person to another depending on how far it had to go. Those circumstances changed dramatically due to a man named Samuel Morse. In 1843 Mr. Morse invented Telegrams for long-distance communication. It worked by transmitting electrical signals over a wire laid between stations. In 1844, Morse received money from the U.S. Congress to set up a telegraph from Washington D.C. to Maryland. When the Civil War began in 1861, some people thought the Telegram could be used to communicate with soldiers on the battlefield during the war.
